Well here is my entry for MFT’s Coloring Virtuoso Card Superstar category. I originally was going to go with a primary color scheme of red, blue and yellow but felt that it was a bit safe. After looking at Pinterest for Distress Ink combinations I came up with Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves, Victorian Velvet and Antique Linen.
Of course I also decided to follow the latest trend in card making of slim line cards which also helps the layout design for my card. It is a 3.5 x 8 inch side folding card.

I got out my color wheel and decided to go with a yellow green to contrast with the red violet of Seedless Preserves. With these colors chosen for the clouds it allowed me to make easy decisions on the little girl’s clothes.
I had grand plans of trying to color my balloons so that they looked like silver foil balloons. This is a technique that I am going to have to practice, practice, practice. I was not happy with my attempt so because I did not want to give up on all of the great work that I had done I ended up restamping the balloons in co-ordinating colors and fussy cutting them out and glueing them over the stamped images.
