Altenew has introduced another large floral hot plate into their collection – Golden Days Hot Foil Plate and Simple Coloring Stencil Set. I created 2 cards with these.

The first one used an unusual ink combination – Misty Moor, Yellow Ochre, Canyon Clay and Autumn Blaze. Each of these inks are from different ink sets and I loved the outcome.

I have been experimenting with my ink sprays and tried using them with the first two layers of stencils and finish with the two darker inks that complement the set.

To complement the new hot foil plate there is also a 6×8 layering stamp set – Golden Days, that also has a coordinating die set. I decided to make a slim line card.

This was my bonus card and I absolutely adore it. Instead of using the hot foil plate as it was intended, I dry embossed my cardstock and then used the stencils with ink sprays. I then cut it out and glued it to another piece of cardstock. The ink sprays created a lovely soft sparkly feel and it was quite quick to put together.
