I immediately fell in love with this kit when I opened it. The first thing I had to try was the embossing folder. It reminded me so much of Stargazer Lilies that I just wanted to recreate those beautiful flowers. Inks used were from the Spring Bouquet set and Alcohol markers.

Then using the die I was able to glue it down onto a light pink cardstock that I had randomly smooshed the Dainty Swiss Dot Background stamp.

Still using the embossing folder I then grabbed my brayer and began to experiment with Glacier Caves ink set.

This next card was a result of the previous card. I used the scrap piece of cardstock that I was using to clean my brayer as the background. I didn’t want it to go to waste so I used some white pigment ink with the stencil and I must say I really liked how this one turned out.

This got me thinking…

What if I try using Altenew’s mixed media inks on black cardstock? Using the stamp with white pigment ink I then got the stencils out again.

And this was the result! Beautiful, soft and delicate!

Finally I also made another card using alcohol markers and coordinating inks with a gel plate.
I hope you have enjoyed my take on Altenew’s CYLPK Feathered Lilies and that you get the opportunity to experiment with this lovely set.

  1. So glad you didn’t let that scrap brayer-cleaning piece go to waste! Absolutely LOVE it, especially in my favourite colour blue! I saw a preview of it in Altenew’s e-mail newsletter and came searching for it to see how you did it. Thanks for the inspiration.

  6. Wow you went to town with this one! I love to see the creativity. I am especially impressed with the lilies stenciled in white pigment ink over the brayered background.
