$300 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $25 gift certificate to 8 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 08/28/2022 for a chance to win.

Altenew will draw 10 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 08/29/2022.

My first card used the Flowery Bouquet Hot Foil Plate and matching stencil.
I haven’t had my hot foil machine that long but I do love the professional finish that it gives and Altenew is bringing out so many lovely plates!

The stencils are great when using the blending brushes to get a soft gradient. I like to add some of my own details with a fine black pen.

For the shadow I used the left over hot foil so that it would match the outline and 3 layers of black cardstock.

The main sentiment is from the Well Read Sentiment Stamp Set. It is one of my favorite quotes. (I am a big Anne of Green Gables fan. 😍)

I love a good cover die and Curtain Leaves Cover Die has got lots of potential.

To make this card I cut several strips of textured cardstock and lay the cover die over them. I used some leftover strips and lay them down horizontally so that I could use the Sweet Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and coordinating Die Set.

This was probably my favorite card that I created for this release.

I loved the Rainbow Burst Hot Foil Plate and was very excited to use it.

There are so many wonderful foils that you could use with this plate but I just chose a gold foil for this card.

I wanted to create an ombré effect using Frosty Pink, Coral Berry and Grapevine from the Red Cosmos Crisp Dye Ink Set.

With the first stencil I started my ombré in one direction and then reversed it for the second stencil. And for the final stencil I also used the Intricate Mandala Stencil with a combination of Frosty Pink and Coral Berry.

The card was completed with the celebrate you from Sweet Sentiments Die Set and also One-Go Birthday Greetings Stamp and Die Set.

Thanks so much for dropping by. Reiko Tsuchida is your next stop on the blog hop and I know that you will love what she has created.

Until next time, keep creating!

  1. All your cards are lovely but I agree with you in that the Rainbow Burst one is my favorite. I love the color combination of that one and also the added stenciled pattern to one of the swirls.

  2. I enjoyed your cards so much. It is amazing how everyone of you on this HOP did something different. It gives me, someone just starting a sense of OK supplies are expensive but look at all the different ways they can be used. Thank you

  3. Great cards! My favorite is the leaf cover die card- such simple but great idea to vary the colors behind the die.
